.....oh Bernice. She did not feel so good last night (Sunday July 8th) after she ran into a moving truck. Yes, I said she ran into it. My dad was driving up the driveway and thought that he hit Bernice. He heard a loud thud and saw her run off into the woods. After searching for her and convincing her it was okay to come out (as her "mom" was panicking) we found that she didn't seem to have any broken bones or anything. The extent of her damage is mainly on her head with a few cuts, scrapes and well gashes. She had a few on her side and one on her foot too.
After my dad (who felt so bad), got home and inspected the truck he saw that she left a mark on the passenger side door. He saw her running to the truck from behind and thinks she was going too fast and ran right into the truck! That would not surprise me.
We are still going to the vet today just to make sure everything is okay, but what a scare. I sure hope her car chasing days are over!
