Here Kitty Kitty

Okay, It's not that we don't love our cats just as much as our dogs....it's that the dogs command more attention. So, because we were feeling like the blog was becoming a bit one sided we decided to share a few of the pictures of Patches and Emily.

Here is Patches doing one of her favorite things, trying to get outside :)

This is Emily in one of here usual positions, hiding. She is not a big fan of dogs, but it is true that when the dogs are away, the cats will play.

We're Moving!

Okay,
This may be a shock to some of you, but for most it's not. We're moving! For about the past month Philip and I have been waiting to here if we would in fact be moving to the Mankato area....but I am getting ahead of myself.
Philip was one of 8 people asked if he were interested in transferring to the Mankato or St. Cloud office...he was given all of one day to think about it and give his answer. Well, it must be a God thing because we had thought about someday moving to a different area where we could live in the country. We picked the Mankato area because it would be closer to Abby's family and we would have a place to stay until we found a home.
This is a great job opportunity for Philip and we are very excited. We are also sad to be leaving our first home. We have been able to make some really good friends and get connected with the church here and it will be hard to leave that, but we know that God has a plan for us and feel that the Mankato area is where he wants us to be. He has provided so much for us and it is amazing how things work out if you just let them happen in Gods time....we know that all will be well.
So when we do move (probably sometime in March) we will be temporarily staying in my (Abby's) grandparents old house. We know our dogs will be very excited because it is on a farm....Our cats on the other hand are probably less than excited to move. Our new address will be :
47368 235th St.
Easton, MN 56025

Our phones right now are still our cell #...we will keep you all updated on the happenings!

Christmas

Maisy and Bernice opening their Christmas Presents :)

Happy New Year everyone...

We hope you all had a very wonderful Christmas and a fun and safe new years. We were blessed to extend our Christmas for a week. We spent Christmas day with Philip's family in Mound and this past Saturday with Abby's family in Delavan. We were able to have a white "Christmas" both times...(well, the snow did not come until Sunday at the Anderson's). Christmas Eve we spent with just our little family making food, listening to Christmas music and watching It's A Wonderful Life.

I just want to reflect a little on this past holiday season....Although the Holidays see to come and go so quickly as adults we still enjoy them and try to capture those child like magic Christmas moments, that is Philip and I do. Not all people seem to take that in though. As an adult and working around people I saw something awful happen the weeks around Christmas....People seemed to become greedier and complain more. This makes me sad because it is a reminder that for most, Christmas is all about money and most of the time the lack their of. Now, I know most of you cherish the true meaning of Christmas and hold this dear to your heart, but we all can get caught up in the "money" of the season. Presents are nice to give and receive, but its not those "things" we get for Christmas that make it special, but the moments that do.

Here are a few of our favorite Christmas moments this year:

Pot roast (and eating way too much)

Snorta (the only time it is appropriate for adults to make that many animal sounds :)

Nieces and nephews

Maisy becoming a horse (pictures to come)

Maisy getting into the garbage (picture to come:)

Walks in the woods as the sun sets

Snow (the feeling of being in a blizzard...sort of )

There were so many moments of laughter this holiday. I can't remember when I have laughed so hard I got tears in my eyes. Thank you all for a very wonderful Holiday. We wish you the best this year in all that you do and encounter.

Love,

Philip and Abby
